micro-music-making

There are some beautiful pieces of mini-hardware knocking around.

Here is Mixtape Alpha  -  a mini synth with some basic notes and effects that fits onto circuit board the same size as a standard tape cassette.  Sounds and effects are triggered in much the same way you would use a stylophone 






This is Tristan Perich's 1-Bit Symphony .  It takes the microchip that the five movements are programmed on and houses it within the CD case, complete with headphone jack.  When the chip is triggered, you are hearing the composition at exactly the same time as it is being created as opposed to the playback of a previous recording.
