This weekend just passed I have had the priviledge of spending four days at the Queille Festival near Mirepoix. Amongst some of the super special music heard was some Shostakovich and Mendelssohn slammed down by the Badke Quartet; Jonny Byers is the Quartet's Cellist. It was a pleasure to hear them play in Queille's serene chapel. It was also wonderful to photograph him with his Cello, The 1692 Segelman Stradivarius of which he is the current custodian. This sexy hunk (of wood) has been laying down serious grooves and seducing souls for 319 years. This is therefore by default an unconditional top top vibe.
